The Knights of Columbus has been an integral supporter of Special Olympics since 1968
At a recent General Meeting, members of the Holy Rosary Knights of Columbus signed their names to the Special Olympics Ontario flag. Â The purpose of the Knights of Columbus Flag Relay is to both raise public awareness of Special Olympics, and to support the athletes in communities throughout Ontario.
For over five decades, the Knights of Columbus has contributed endless support that has been fundamental to the success of Special Olympics. This commitment and dedication have helped to impact thousands of athletes while spreading our values of inclusivity and respect.
The Knights of Columbus has a unique and long-standing partnership with Special Olympics and has helped athletes with an intellectual disability train for and compete in games around the world. Knights of Columbus councils have assisted with many aspects of the program such as fundraising, travel, hosting events and competitions and organizing BBQ’s. The continued support is vitally important to the on-going success of the movement.
