Teaching Generosity

Our Food Drive Chair received a phone call last week from St. Anthony of Padua School. They informed us that they have been collecting donations from students and staff during Advent. In support of the Knights of Columbus they decided to have their collection added to our Food Drive. On Saturday three carloads of food was delivered to our trailer in the Parish parking lot.

The total was approximately 1,000lbs of non-perishable food, our largest single donation to date and more than doubling this week's collection!

This generous donation also makes this year's Food Drive our largest ever!

The students were also involved in a Hygiene Drive for the Holy Rosary St. Vincent de Paul Society. They collected much needed but often overlooked items such as soap, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and mouthwash.

Many thanks go out to all the students and staff at St. Anthony of Padua School for their support of those in need this Christmas season. Please continue your amazing work of instilling the joy of giving and of teaching generosity to our future generations.

Please note that all Food Drive donations are delivered to the Milton Food Bank each week so they can be distributed as soon as possible.
