Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

Holy Rosary Parish Hall

139 Martin St., Milton

The Knights of Columbus celebrates Shrove Tuesday with a delectable tradition – the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. This annual event brings the community together for an evening of fellowship, food, and fun.

Held in the spirit of preparation before the Lenten season begins; the Knights of Columbus host this dinner as a way to gather friends and families for a festive occasion. Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent. Traditionally, it is a time to indulge in rich and fatty foods before the fasting and penance of the Lenten period.

The pancake dinner features a feast of fluffy pancakes served with a variety of toppings, from classic maple syrup to fruit toppings. The aroma of sizzling batter fills the air as Knights of Columbus volunteers flip pancakes with skill and precision. Accompanied by sausages and your only chance to taste the World Famous Daniel’s Potato Latkes!

Beyond the delicious food, the event is an opportunity for community bonding and support. Proceeds from the dinner will fund the Knights of Columbus scholarship fund.

The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner has become a cherished tradition, fostering unity and generosity within the community as they come together to enjoy a delicious meal before the solemn season of Lent commences.
